Cooking Time

  • 45–50 minutes

Servings

  • 2–4 servings

Ingredients

  • Chicken wings — 1–1.2 kg
  • Salt — to taste
  • Black pepper — to taste
  • Paprika (optional) — 1–2 tsp
  • Garlic powder (optional) — 1 tsp
  • Smokey Hickory BBQ sauce — 4–6 tbsp
  • Oil — for greasing

Instructions

  1. Prepare the wings
Wash and pat dry the chicken wings. This helps them get crispy in the oven.
  2. Seasoning
In a bowl, mix salt, pepper, and optional spices (paprika, garlic powder). Coat the wings evenly.
  3. First bake (crisping stage)
Preheat the oven to 200°C. Place wings on a baking tray (or rack for extra crispiness).
Bake for 30–35 minutes, turning once halfway through, until golden and cooked through.
  4. Add BBQ sauce
Remove wings from the oven and place them in a bowl. Add Smokey Hickory BBQ sauce and toss until fully coated.
  5. Final caramelization
Return wings to the oven for 10 minutes at 200°C, until the sauce becomes sticky and slightly caramelized.
